SMASH HIT features Toronto’s up and coming comedians on their quest for love, hate and everything in between. They will sing, act, play and dance their hearts out for your amusement or scorn in this hour-long never-before-seen extravaganza.

Singer/songwriter Josh Penslar

Opening Night Theatre is pleased to kick off the evening with a musical performance by Josh Penslar. Josh is a strummer, noodler, whistler, hummer-along, and generally well-mannered musical fellow. He has written musical comedy for stage and screen as well as folk music for anyone willing to listen. Songs range in subject matter from Love, Loss, and Similar Serious Things to nonsense about his cat.

Comedian Cathy Paton

Cathy Paton will join us as host, shortly after returning from various places in the world! She’s a fantastically charming and funny lady – an improviser, artist, social activist, and she makes AWESOME hummus, too.

We’re really looking forward to this show… See you Saturday!
